Run by couple Ashkat and Varvara Jain, 100 Hands has quickly emerged as a maker of "perhaps the finest shirts in the world" according to Simon Crompton of Permanent Style. While the company is headquartered in the Netherlands all their shirts are produced outside Amritsar, India under the watchful eye of Ashkat's brother. With six generations of involvement in textiles and shirt making the Jain family is no stranger to what it takes to make a truly special garment. Approximately 100 hands are involved in the production of each shirt and their Black Line boasts individually hand cut fabric, hand ironing after each stage of production, handsewn collars and plackets; and semi handsewn armholes.
