  • There’s a nondescript factory in Ashland, PA that is home to one of America’s last great shirting companies. Gitman Bros. traces it's lineage back to 1930s Brooklyn where founder, Max Gitman, under pressure from union rackets, relocated his company to Pennsylvania's coal country. Gitman trained miner's wives in the craft of traditional shirt making. Today, much of the company’s workforce are descendants of the first generation of workers trained by Max Gitman.

Gitman Vintage draws from swatch books of Gitman Bros. past to curate a collection that is both contemporary and classic. Sourcing textiles from around the world, Gitman's versatile shirting appeals to both those seeking the classic Ivy League oxford or an exciting bold print. All Gitman Vintage shirts feature double-track stitching, chalk buttons, locker loops, box pleats and the original 1978 Gitman Bros. label with 'Vintage' sub-label.
