RIVIERA POLO NAVY
Finding the polos of the day ill suited to the French Riviera's hot summers, Sunspel developed warp knit cotton mesh. Originally made with lace machines, this unique cotton mesh fabric was softer, lighter and more breathable than pique. This innovative fabric gave birth to the Riviera Polo in the 1950s. Since, it has become a must-have for warm weather travel and was given an updated slim fit in 2006.
- 100% Warp Knit Cotton

Since its founding by Thomas Arthur Hill in 1860, Sunspel has been sourcing the finest raw materials from around the world and developing luxury fabrics that are entirely unique. A prime example of this innovation is the Warp Knit Cotton mesh used on their iconic Riviera Polo. The knowledge base used to create this fabric in the 50s came about from Sunspel's experience crafting fine lace hosiery.
