Gant Rugger always does textures well and here's an outstanding example. The checks are inserted into the fabric using a a thick dobby weave which gives the pattern a raised hand. In warm weather this raised texture provides a bit of a cooling effect much like seersucker.

In 1910, Bernard Gant, a Ukrainian, started working in New York's garment district making shirts.
