Spending his college days in the Mississippi Delta with old Blues musicians, Rin Tanaka became “the youngest blues writer in the world” at the age of 20. In 1994 he started researching the history of motorcycle jackets and accessories. Since 1998 he has lived in San Clemente, CA, and has been hitting the road everyday and everywhere to study men’s lifestyles in the U.S.A. He started the self-published business, “My Freedamn!” in June, 2003 and has published many books on vintage men's fashions.
