Almost 70 years after it's release in 1947 the St. Johns Bay Rum recipe is unchanged from the original bay rum created by Danish chemist, Albert Heinrich Riise in 1838. Formulated from the leaves of the West Indian Bay Tree, Eucalyptus, Cloves, and Caribbean spices; St. Johns Bay Rum is a warm, rich masculine after shave that's a throwback to a simpler time. The signature woven palm jacket on the bottle also makes it worthy of display near your sink.

While serving at the US Navy Submarine Base on the Caribbean island of St. Thomas during WWII, Minnesotan, John Webb became intrigued by the history of bay oil and bay rum production. Following the war he returned to the USVI and founded The West Indies Bay Company. Since 1947 they have produced St. Johns Bay Rum and almost 70 years later it is still regarded as one of the finest bay rum after shaves. The West Indies Bay Company also produces several signature fragrances that capture the essence of the Caribbean.
